About us
One vocabulary, understood everywhere.

Universal Vocabulary is an independent media organisation based in Bonn, the United Nations City, working worldwide.
Forms change, and so do the media that carry them. What needs to be understood remains. Our work goes to its essence.
We give meaning a form that is understood, across languages, cultures and media.
So that what matters can be understood by anyone, anywhere.
Bonn, United Nations City
Universal Vocabulary is based in Bonn, the Beethoven City. Birthplace of Beethoven, capital of West Germany until 1990 and home to the headquarters of Deutsche Telekom, the parent company of T-Mobile US, and of DHL Group, Bonn is today Germany’s United Nations City. Since the 1990s, it has become a centre of international cooperation: a UN campus in the former government quarter, some 27 UN organisations, federal ministries, around 150 non-governmental organisations, research institutions and Deutsche Welle. Each year, the city hosts international conferences on questions that concern the future of everyone.
We work from here, for clients and readers worldwide.
